FARMS OF INNOCENCE
Still images taken on an early digital camera in 2009, Farms of Innocence was selected for the International touring exhibition ‘Figuring Landscapes.’
This short film combines a visible fast rhythm of still images with the tension between the childlike song, the child’s arm and toys, and the darker narrative of land clearance and intensive farming overreaching itself. ‘I am trying to find a new way of talking about the emotions around environmental issues.’
Screenings have included Tate Modern Ivan Dougherty Gallery, Sydney and The Brisbane Gallery of Modern Art. 2009.
