HOW TO MAKE A CYANOTYPE BY JOSH
We found that making cyanotypes was the perfect way to combine the garden in winter with a creative process that everyone could enjoy. I was so impressed by Josh’s creativity and concentration as he constructed his image and developed the print. Everyone was invited to use the GoPro body camera to film their work in progress. 2022
Not just a garden was an installation of films, images, and memorabilia looking at Furzey Gardens’ 100-year history and its role as a place of support and work experience for people with learning disabilities. The installation included cyanotype prints, referencing the type of photography used by Frank Kingdon-Ward. A gallery of cyanotypes made by people with learning disabilities was on display in Furzey Gardens’ tea rooms, alongside pictures showing them being created.
